This chippy always has good fish and chips at a reasonable price. I eat from there regularly, and I have no problem recommending Mandy's to any reader of this review.

Review for the Veggies/Vegans incoming - Quality Chip shop with super reasonable prices. Large chips for £3.60 was enough to feed four and they were delicious and cooked to perfection. The large spring roll covered in Curry sauce was just a taste sensation, all cooked fresh to order by really welcoming owners. Will be coming back, and I’m bringing my mates too. 10/10 Meal - Large Spring Roll, Large Chips, Curry sauce, Can of Rio - £7.10

Mandy's Fish & Chips, nestled at 33 Woodside Grn in London SE25, is a classic chippy that stands out not just for its unassuming storefront but for the quality and generosity of its offerings. This takeaway gem delivers a true taste of traditional British fish and chips, crafted fresh with care and served by genuinely welcoming staff.

The highlight here is undoubtedly the large, flaky cod – fried to golden perfection with a crisp batter that complements the tender fish inside. Portion sizes are impressively generous; a large order of chips alone can comfortably feed four, making it a superb value for families or groups. The chips themselves are cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside, fluffy within—demonstrating Mandy’s commitment to quality.

What truly elevates the experience at Mandy’s are the thoughtful extras: homemade spring rolls rolled from scratch, an indulgent curry sauce, and classic British accompaniments such as pickled onions and gherkins. These elements add an exciting dimension to a traditional meal, creating a well-rounded plate that excites the palate without overwhelming it.

Frequent visitors praise the affordability, often mentioning how the prices stay reasonable without skimping on flavor or portion size. The service is friendly and inviting, enhancing the comfort of a takeaway meal with a personal touch rarely found these days.

One minor caveat is the cash-only policy, a small trade-off for the authentic, no-frills charm that Mandy’s embodies. It's clear that Mandy's Fish & Chips isn't just serving food; they're serving an experience rooted in tradition, quality, and warm local hospitality. A must-try for fish and chip enthusiasts and anyone craving hearty, satisfying takeaway fare in London.
